A news van and a few scattered law enforcement officers remain at Dancer Hall on the University of Northern Iowa campus Tuesday night. Earlier in the evening a student recieved a threatening text message from her boyfriend, Todd Michael Younk, 18, of Windsor Heights. Younk allegedly made a threat that made reference to a fire arm. He was later arrested upon his arrival at his mother's home.
As a photographer who aspires to be a paid photojournalist one day, I found it frustrating that because of other employment obligations I wasn't able to be there when the actual story was happening. Nothing really "happened", but I sure missed all of the hype. Next time, I just need to go.
