Earth Day

Not everyone had a good Earth Day. (He was just so cute...I know, I'm weird)

Balls of Heaven

Since this is the week before the awards dinner at my "day job", there have been prize drawings and food days in celebration. Thursday is dessert day. I made Balls of Heaven (that's what the person called them that gave me the recipe) and thought I would try out my home-made lighting set up and make some pretty pictures of these irresistible spheres. They don't last for long.

Some are fully dipped in that silky chocolate, and some only half-dipped. Both are equally yummy. Just thought I'd share! :-)

Just Me

For my day job, I am a digital artist at a pro lab. Our annual awards dinner is coming up, and one of my tasks, last week, was to run around for 2 days and make candids of everyone...but I had to get in there too! :-)

Low-Clearance

A freyed coil of telephone lines wraps around a post at the entrance of a Waterloo business parking lot, as the un-identified semi-tractor/trailer driver makes minor repairs to his vehicle. The adjustments were needed after the driver found himself "hung up" in the 2800 block of Falls Avenue, today, tearing the lines down.

Sinister

A chain-link fence topped with barbed-wire is silhoutted against the overcast skies.
This would be today's "word of the day".

Atmospheric Charm

Saturday's warm temperatures, light breeze and overcast skies created the perfect atmosphere for a peaceful walk through Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls.

My Nighttime

Inspired by a blogger friend's recent post of nighttime photography, I decided to attempt to make some nighttime scenics of my own. (I think I somehow missed this assigment when I was in school, because everyone else had their bridge shots but me.) It was a lot of fun!

What Lies Beneath

Rusted paint and gasoline cans clutter the yard outside a Waterloo residence. Until the recent onset of spring, the continuous snowfall had kept them well hidden from sight.
