A Few of My Favorite Things

It's truly amazing to witness and document the story of new life.

To attempt to gather the complete essence of a treasured moment that can never be repeated so that it might be re-visited , is truly a priveledge.

I love childbirth photography.

Above are a few of my images, but because of the degree of intimacy for this type of occasion, I will limit what I present. Each of these clients has given permission for samples from their experience to be shown for promotional purposes. However, I would not consider the internet a very discreet or secure way to display much of my work in this area.

If you or someone you know is interested in more information regarding the experience of childbirth photography or my pricing, feel free to e-mail me at dawn.sagert@gmail.com.

Moonlight

I think it's fun that there was a lunar eclipse on the same night as a full moon. I find that my 80-200 lens doesn't quite get me as close as I would like. I am, however, QUITE happy with my new 40D! It allows me to crop in to get my close-up, and retains it's quality. I just can't decide what my next investment will be-wider or longer?

The Scenic Route

Driving conditions were hazardous, yet beautiful along highway 151 on Monday, Feb. 18, 2008. Numerous highways were closed due to poor road conditions. Many drivers found themselves abandoning their vehicles in roadside ditches due to a "No Towing" ban across the state. Interstates 80 and 380, as well as highways 218, 151, 63, 52, 30, and 20 were only some of the roads that were effected by the winter weather conditions.

For Only A Moment

Timeless portraits are the closest to my heart. They are only this small for a second or two, but what marvelous seconds they are!

Brilliant

Tis' the season for brightly colored floral arrangements! This "Brilliant" blossom is one of my most sweetly-scented birthday reminders. :-)

Cool Coverage

A row of trees blanketed in snow makes for beautiful scenery in Waterloo, Iowa on Tuesday, Feb 5, 2008. The fresh snowfall was from one of the many wintery storm fronts to close businesses and schools throughout the area.
